These are a great way to add light to areas that have always been too dark. Just twisted the base to access the sockets for the three AAA batteries. There is no need for wiring the house to install these tap lights. Then attach a self-adhesive double stick tape to the base and then attached to the wall and door frames in closets and areas where there has never been enough light.
This light turns on when it is dark and when motion is detected. I wondered why just installing this device in a closet it wouldn’t turn on and stay on until the batteries were dead. Well they have an auto off feature so that when there is no motion detected that they automatically turn off in 15 seconds. And they don’t turn on to start with until there is a motion detected. You have to open the drawer, and enter or move something in the closet. Otherwise they are off. With the 6 LED in each lamp there is sufficient light to provide see in the closet.
The only thing that I questioned was a lack of instructions about installing the batteries. Twist the bottom. That’s all. It’s in the write-ups in the ad but when the box arrives I wish it had stated about twisting the base and not make me go back to the ad. And using the word “tap” in the description is illogical as no tapping is necessary. It works automatically. Otherwise it is a great addition to a dark closet at a great price.
